To be loved

To be loved is one of the greatest things that can happen while you're here on Earth.
I'm not talking about the love between family members, which is wonderful, but the kind of love that you share with your beloved one, male/female/animal/object/.
School is not going well for me at all. I basically live with my boyfriend, suffering from sleep deprivation and poor academic choices. Obviously,my fault and my decision, and I am on the path of fixing all this up.
But why did I, self-disciplined and focused-on-academics-girl let this happen, yet again? Allowing a boy to take over most of my free time?
Because being around him feels good. It's nice to be around someone who loves you.
-I slice my finger open, and he's up on his feet, frantically looking for a bandage to wrap around the fresh wound. He puts it on gently, and kisses the hurt finger softly.
-We are studying together, and he passes me a handwritten note.
"You are so cute", it says.
-Lots of nuzzles and cuddles.
-I love being hugged from behind. I'll be washing dishes, and suddenly I'll feel him wrap his arms around my waist.

I don't know why I suddenly felt inspired to write an entry about love. I just washed Nashville, and of course I absolutely loved it.
Ugh, I'm so weird sometimes. I have so many worries about the future, like always, but every bad situation I get in feels a lot better when I am around my beloved.
But seriously, no more bad grades.

  1. To be honest, it sounds as though you are a "in this moment"-type of person. If you want to change for the future, you should consider thinking about the consequences of your decisions, or maybe you should motivate yourself by thinking about the same events that have occurred in the past. Being in a relationship is also a part of life that you will need to learn how to incorporate into your life, but take over your life. In other words, balance is the key word. Although it may not be something you want to do, you may need to set rules like getting home by 9pm to focus on school work. (It doesn't need to be home, but at least somewhere you can concentrate. No distractions!) Good luck with your academics!
