I really miss photography. I just don't have the time anymore to do things like this anymore :(
I hate this time of the year. I'm incredibly busy and stressed, and registration is in 2 weeks. EEEKKK. I have so much to do this weekend, so I'm probably not going to go out at all. Which sucks, because I really look forward to spending my weekends with Phillip and his boys. I can't help but get a little depressed during this time of the year before finals. I can't stop worrying.
But anyway, I finished The Glass Castle this morning when I probably should have been doing more productive things, haha, since this book isn't due until...a long time away..But after reading a few chapters, I was really hooked. I couldn't stop reading, so of course I neglected all my other homework, and now I have to pay the consequences :(
But anyway, this book is amazing, because it is a true story, of a girl who basically went from nothing to a best-selling author in NYC. I know there's a lot of stories out there with this basic storyline, but dude...the stuff she goes through growing up? Getting all her work money stolen by her drunk dad and having to work another year to move to NYC? Not being able to afford clothes, food as a kid and being beat up by gangs? Being sexually harassed by relatives and her parents don't even bat an eye? This girl has had it rough. And still, with hard work, she made it.
Such an inspirational story.
I love reading uplifting books like this.
And now I'm off to take a nap, because I'm dead tired :/
