Yeah, I know it's a bit early for the resolution business, but after reading an article from Glamour magazine, I've decided to share my New Year's Resolutions with you guys!
Other favorite magazines: NYLON and teenVOGUE for fashion. National Geographic when I feel like being smart and knowledgeable. Cosmo when I'm feeling naughty xD
Anyway, my grades came out today! And yes, everything is fine. Well, sort of. I'm doing fine in my core classes, and that's what matters most. Statistics really brought me down this year, but I'm really proud of how hard I studied for the final exam. I got a 84. Which, probably, to most of you, is nothing, but that's like, the highest grade I've ever gotten in there on a major grade. Which is sad, but you know what? I'm not really good at this stuff. I tried my best and gave it my all. Even though I still ended up with a low overall grade in that much-despised class, I'm not going to beat myself up over it like I usually would. I took Bio II and Chem I at the same time with a writing class. It wasn't easy!
I hung out with Phillip yesterday and today. He. Is. The. Best. Boyfriend. Ever. Even though we've gotten in a few fights and such, I love him. I really do. When your significant other motivates you to become a better person, you know you have someone special :)
So, onto my resolutions!
1) Eat breakfast everyday. I've stopped doing this ever since Chemistry took over my life. Well, it's time for me to stop that. Eating breakfast has many health benefits, among them less painful periods and less PMS symptoms. I've been having painful periods lately, and I think this might be why..or cause I'm so stressed all the time :/
2)Do well in school. Duh. I have this one every year, and so far I've kept them. I need at least a 3.5 GPA to get into Pharmacy school, so there really isn't space to mess up.
3) Chill out for 5 minutes(or more) every day. School is stressful. Life isn't always fun. Deep-breathing or meditation exercises calm you down when Philly isn't around.
4) Try to exercise everyday if possible. I know this is going to be a hard one to keep, since according to Joyce I never move my body, but like, I really need to exercise. It's so beneficial, yet so hard to accomplish. I'm not going to go hard-core or anything, and as much as I want abs, that is kind hard to achieve, so I just want my heart rate to go up b/c I'm moving, not cause I'm freaking out over a test grade.
5) Sleep more. This will be hard to keep as well, since sometimes I do have to stay up late...but there are times when I could have gone to sleep earlier. My bedtime at the start of the semester was 10:30PM. Then it became 11:30PM. Unlike other people, I cannot function with little sleep. Thankfully, I only have like 1 8AM class this spring semester, so I should be okay haha
6) Try to go to church. Or join a christian community. Pray as much as you can, and thank God for all the glorious gifts he has provided me with.
7)Note when period starts. This will result in less freak-put episodes of "Ahh, I must be pregnant!" Also, please realize that unless you actually participate in sexual intercourse, you can't get pregnant. Because this happens way too often:
You: "Linda, I think I'm pregnant!"
Linda: "Have you and Phillip had sex?"
You: "No...But my period is weird and late!"
I went to see the gynecologist, had to pay $17, had something sharp stuck up my vagina, and the result was..? I was ovulating. Yeah, that was it.

lol, uhh, my heart rate starts to go up a little too quickly when I start moving BECAUSE I'm never moving.
I've gone to sleep at 6am these past couple of days. I'm screwed when my 10am final comes.
lol yeah I'm never going to the gynecologist ever again..I screamed every time she put something up there..probably scared everyone in the waiting room xD
ReplyDeleteI know many people that stay up until like 5AM or so, but I just can't do that lols..Phillip and I can stay up until 3AM if we force ourselves but then after that we die in bed :/
