The Galaxy of Hopes and Dreams

Currently listening to: Benjamin Francis Leftwich

They thundered upstairs for us. We went downstairs, into the car of a stranger we had just met. We drove for a long time in the swirling darkness, unsure of our final destination.
"It's so dark," we noted.
And finally we arrived, a quiet region by the side of the road. The quietness and stillness surrounded us by all sides, and we laid down on the road.
"Cars actually come through here," Lauren warned, and the cautious ones moved to the side.
2 blinking lights moved slowly across the sky.
"Aliens, definitely aliens, " he declared, spinning wildly around in the darkness.
"I'm scared," Carolyn said, grabbing on to me.
I sat down on the pebbled ground, grabbing a few rocks and throwing them into the barbed wire fence.
"I saw it!" someone declared excitedly, pointing to the star-filled sky.
Everyone else groaned in disappointed. I stared hard at the sky. I need a wish to be fulfilled. I don't know if wishing on a meteor shower works in the same way as wishing on a star...but I needed it badly.

And then I saw it. A white flashing light shooting across the sky. I gasped in awe, and pointed at it, hoping that would make it stay visible for longer.
"I saw it," I said to no one in particular.
"Car!" someone cried, and we all scampered to the side.

After awhile, we all laid down again, and stared at the sky in anticipation for the next show.

Life has indeed become more interesting.
