Avengers

So I finally watched The Avengers last night. Yes, I know I'm kinda late to the party. Well, I've never been a huge fan of superheroes, and am unfamiliar with most of the avengers aside from Tony Stark and the Hulk. I always say my favorite superhero is Spider-man, since I love how he's the friendly neighborhood hero, but if I had to pick the coolest superhero character, it would obviously be Batman, since he's got the coolest gadgets. Anyway, I went into this movie not knowing who half the avengers were, and didn't really understand what was going on for the first part of the movie. Tesseract? Huh? Who is Loki? Wait, isn't Thor some kind of God? Wait, didn't Thor fall in love with Natalie Portman's character, so shouldn't he be living on Earth?
But anyway, I have to say the plot was very simplistic and eh. Is it a kid's movie or something? Alien invasion? Really? The thing I loved most about this movie was how funny it was. I didn't know superheroes could be so humorous. Of course, Tony Stark made most of his jokes, and I see why people on tumblr keep making memes of how Tony and Capt. America should hook up. Capt. America is so uptight and serious. I think Iron Man is the most useful avenger, since he knows how to fix engines and such. Dr. Banner is a genius too, but sometimes he turns into the Hulk. I'm guessing there's going to be a sequel to this movie.

  1. I totally agree with your opinion about the movie. I didn't see what the hype was all about. It wasn't that amazing to me at all.
